A small, struggling wasteland town that has been a mining community since the early days of Nevada's U.S. history. There are only a dozen or so people still in the town due to trade along the Long 15 drying up. Signs along the highway direct people to Goodsprings, but they do the town little good if no one is on the highway to read them.

The landscape of Primm is dominated by a few ranch homes and the rubble of the town’s main streets and store-fronts. The two main structures in town are the Viki and Vance Casino and the Bison Steve Casino and Hotel, the latter which houses most of the town's residents.

Nipton was once populated by gamblers, thieves, and prostitutes under the leadership of Mayor Joseph B. Steyn. It was left a ghost town after Caesar's Legion killed most of its residents. Now, slowly, the town is beginning to draw in settlers again.

Novac is little more than a lonely desert highway motel, a small Brahmin ranch and multiple surrounding buildings that have been fortified for the protection of its inhabitants. Watching over them is the landmark of the area: a giant dinosaur statue named "Dinky".

Freeside is the main slum adjacent to New Vegas. It is protected and loosely ruled by the Kings and the Van Graffs. The streets are dangerous and lack the luster of the New Vegas Strip.

The Strip is the heart of New Vegas. When entering through the Strip North Gate, Gomorrah is to the right and the Lucky 38 is to the left. Further down the street is a gate to another area of the strip, which leads to The Tops casino, the Ultra-Luxe and the Camp McCarran monorail. Beyond that through a third gate is Vault 21, Michael Angelo's workshop, and the NCR Embassy.

The Westside is a district of New Vegas, located west of the New Vegas Strip. Though it is one of the poorer residential areas of the city, it houses its own militia and considers themselves apart from the city. Westside became more or less self-sufficient, growing its own food and maintaining its own water supply.

Jacobstown sits at the same general location as the pre-war settlement of Mount Charleston, a small alpine community high in the mountains west of the Las Vegas Valley. Post-war, the area was of little interest to travelers and scavengers due to its remote location and lack of salvageable material. Now it's a safe have for super mutants and nightkin, as well as the occasional human.
