It's been three years since Courier Six liberated New Vegas from the hands of Mr. House. The Strip is now completely independent and under the watch of the Securitrons. Caesar's Legion was driven back across the dam, while the NCR suffered severe casualties from the fighting. Now, both factions have been licking their wounds and regrouping. Meanwhile, factions like the Jackals and Fiends have been becoming unruly outside the Securitrons' reach now that the NCR is almost entirely absent from the Mojave.
