Rythe is tall, somewhat scrawny man who makes up with witty comebacks and astute observations what he lacks in raw physical strength. His eyes are a pale gray-blue, and his hair is dark brown and curled. Though he tries to keep his face clean and shaved, more often than not it's covered with stubble. His skin is surprisingly pale for a wastelander, but is not devoid of faint scars and scratches. Ry's choice of clothing is generally your run-of-the-mill dirty wasteland outfit. He also keeps a brown scarf wrapped loosely around his neck, occasionally pulled up to cover his mouth.
personality
Rythe your average cynic with a sense of justice and a self-depreciating brand of humor. He dislikes himself - he doesn't hide that - but generally thinks highly of others. Or at least, of those who deserve such praise. While he has about as many friends as he does enemies (that is to say, none), he doesn't care much for those aligned with Caesar's Legion or the Fiends for obvious reasons.
While Ry is a rather friendly individual, he's also distant and cautious. He generally doesn't like relying on other people, or vice versa. Considering he's been alone for most of his wandering life, he prefers it that way. Though he's not completely averse to the idea of getting attached to others, he understandably rather afraid of doing so in the cruel wasteland. As a part of his 'mysterious loner' front, he dislikes talking about himself and tends to avoid it when possible (for example, deflecting personal questions with humor).

Rythe was born to a couple in Primm. Both his parents were couriers, and as such, left the town on jobs every so often. When Ry was around ten years of age, his father never returned from a delivery. Assuming he'd been killed, Ry became attached to his mother and hated when she received a job. At seventeen, Rythe got into courier work himself so his mother could quit. He did so for three years, and saw plenty of the wasteland in that time.
When a group of convicts escaped the NCR correctional facility and overran Primm, Rythe's mother didn't survive the attack. Ry was away on a delivery at this time, and didn't return to receive the news until after the convicts had already been cleared out. With nothing left for him in Primm, Rythe quit his job as a courier and took to wandering the wasteland.
